Virtual Angkor Temple Tour

Welcome to our Virtual Tour

Building Brighter Futures Foundation (BBFF) has put together an amazing Angkor Temple Tour to share the wonders of Cambodia with you, while helping to address the issue of food insecurity for families struggling to survive.

Join the Tour

How Does it Work?

The incredibly detailed stone carvings of the beautiful pink temple, Banteay Srei.

How Do I Register?

Visit our registration page (see the 'Join the Tour' button above) and click 'Join' at the top right of the Tour banner on the mission page. If you are on a mobile device, you will need to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the 'Join This Mission' button.

Why is BBFF hosting this virtual Temple Tour?

BBFF is raising funds to provide rice to struggling families in the Prey Thom community near Siem Reap, Cambodia.  Many of the families that we work with in Cambodia are doing it extra-tough following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The registration fees of participants will help us to provide rice to  decrease food insecurity for the families in this community.

Virtual Angkor Temple Tour Details

A 56.9 kilometre challenge with a 24 week time limit (but you can set your own timeframe)

Four Registration Options:

$39 per participant - entry and 10 kg of rice

$50 per participant - entry and 30 kg of rice

$75* per participant - entry, 45 kg of rice and thank you memento

$100* per participant - entry, 65 kg of rice and thank you memento

Anything else? Bragging rights, and the chance to enjoy the incredible temples via Google Maps.

* Momento will only be supplied once there are 30+ registrants across the top two tiers

How do I 'Tour the Temples'?

This is a virtual event so you can run/walk/cycle anywhere and upload your data to see your progress. You can also use the handy conversion table to turn your other fitness or hobby activities into an equivalent distance to upload in completion of your tour.

After registering, participants will be given access to a website/app that will record their daily progress to update a progress map (with Street View for an up-close look) and leaderboard. Data can be entered manually or by linking to a variety of fitness apps. You can even attach pictures and leave comments. Don't just log your distance, show us how you did it!

Do I have to Live in Australia to Take Part?

No, absolutely not! You can join this mission no matter where you live in the world. The registration fees are quoted in AUD, so there will be a conversion if you join from another country. Our only requirement at this time is that you need to have an Australian mailing address for free shipping of your momento (if needed). For momentos to be shipped to other countries, a postage fee will apply.

Is there a Cut-off Date to Join the Tour?

At this stage there is no cut-off date for joining the virtual tour, and you will have up to 24 weeks to complete the distance required.
